Signed minutes of the Finance Sub-Committee from its first meeting in 1971 to its last meeting in 1974; signed minutes of the Finance and Management Committee (replaced Finance Sub-Committee) from its first meeting 1974 to its last meeting 1977; and signed minutes of the Finance Committee (replaced F&M Committee) from its first meeting 1977 to its meetings in 2000 can be found in the IET/ORG/4/3 sub-series, then afterwards in this IET/ORG/4/2 sub-series. Board and committee signed minutes related to the Finance Committee such as for the Audit Committee, Investment Sub-Committee, and the Board of IEE Conventions Limited are held in the IET/ORG/4/3 sub-series from their respective inaugurations until 2001 (as these minutes were originally kept with the signed Finance Committee minutes). Thereafter the signed minutes for these Boards and committees are kept in this IET/ORG/4/2 sub-series. Signed minutes of General Meetings, AGM's and SGM's can by found in the IET/ORG/3 sub-series for the years up to 2000. From 2001, signed minutes can be found in this IET/ORG/4/2 sub-series. Minutes, particularly from 2000 onwards, are sometimes unsigned, and reference numbers and dates on minutes can contain inaccuracies as basic templates were often copied from prior meetings without references and dates being changed. Minutes from departments, including departmental committees and boards and minutes from centre committees and boards, particularly when they are files of unsigned minutes rather than loose signed minutes can also be found in the Centres series IET/CEN and the departmental series IET/DEP.
