Scope and Content
Draft copies of a memorandum written by Melling in 1978 on the 1961 pay pause. The memorandum was written for Dr Leslie Hannah, who was writing a history of the electricity supply industry. Melling sent the draft version to various friends and ex-colleagues for comment, and the ensuing correspondence is also included in this file. Includes correspondence between Melling and the following: Mary Perry, who typed the memoradum and covering letters which Melling sent out; Arthur Bond; Percy Briggs; Andrew Cooper; Denis Dodds; Owen Francis; Christopher Hinton; Nevill Marsh; Harold Pugh; H Sallis.
