File of correspondence and technical information relating to the Hovercraft. Includes correpondence between Christopher Cockerell and English Electric and the Patent Office. Cockerell received permission to dicuss his patented invention with English Electric in April 1958. Includes photographs and diagrams on the design of Cockerell's invention. Also includes copies of earlier correspondence with D Napier and Sons re Cockerell's 'Ripplecraft', advising Cockerell to take out a patent on his 'Hovercraft' idea.
