Part III p 120. with Ms title 'An Aurora Borealis observed by Dr Halley March 6th 1716. "The light shaped itself into two Laminae or streaks ABCD. At Q arose conical Beams MLN. Several Luminous spots presented themselves successively at G, G, G, G: they went away in a moment. At the same time little white Columns F, F, F, F occupied part of the space between the streaks next to E. Lastly from C D arose suddenly a Cone of a pale whitish light H; which moved regularly to K, and there disappeared."
