The image, issued by AVO Publicity Department 2 July 1974, is captioned; "HRH The Duke of Kent making a tour of the Leeds Electronics Exhibition following the official opening ceremony. The Duke takes a keen interest in electronics and spent as much as 10 minutes on some stands. Seen here, on the Duke's left is F W (Fred) Dorman, Field Sales Manager for AVO and teh other Thorn Measurement, Control and Automation companies who were among the 160 exhibitors".
