Letter detailing his claims to priority in the invention of the moving galvanometer needle to complete a circuit. Giving details of experiments performed by Professor Wheatstone, with dates. Stating that Wheatstone acknowledged at the time that they could both have come up with the same idea independently as they were both thinking about the same problem. Also copy of letter of 27 April 1837 giving further differences between his invention and Wheatstone's and stating its application on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway.
