Committee minutes 1972-1991, AGM agendas 1983-1990 and YMS minutes 1982-1988. This Centre was previously known as the Surrey District, before gaining Centre Status in 1982. In September 2000, as a result of a strategic review of the Institution's activities and regional operations, Surrey Centre minus certain postcodes became known as the Surrey Branch. In October 2006 following the combination of the IIE and IEE to form the IET, the convergence of the IEE Branches and IIE Regions was achieved in the UK through the creation of Local and Regional Networks. At that time the IEE Surrey Branch became the Surrey Local Network which was part of the South Eastern Regional Network.
