Scope and Content
Committee minutes of the South Eastern Centre and also the Kent Area, along with Kent Area Younger Members Minutes and Honorary Secretary's correspondence.
The South East Centre was created in 1982 and originally comprised the Essex Area, the London Area and the Kent Area. At a Centre Board Meeting 24 May 1990, the request for the Essex, Kent and London Areas to become centres in their own right (meaning the South East centre would no longer exist) was approved. The IEE Council formally approved the reorganisation of the South East Centre at a meeting 8 September 1990.
Material relating to the new Essex Centre (and also the Essex Area which had been part of the South East Centre) can be found at IET/CEN/04, the new London Centre at IET/CEN/08 and the new Kent Centre at IET/CEN/45.
