Scope and Content
The Joint Council of Engineering Institutions was formed in 1964, which became the CEI in November 1965 holding a Royal charter. The CEI lost some of its responsibilities, following the report of the Finniston committee in 1980 which resulted in the setting up of the Engineering Council.
