The Saudi Arabian Air Defence Consortium (SAADC) was formed by BAC, Airwork and AEI to coordinate the supply of aircraft to Saudi Arabia. Lord Caldecote was Chairman of the steering committee from 1966 and one of BAC's representatives. A 'management company' was formed in 1967, in which the three main companies held shares.
