Scope and Content
Papers relating to the British Aircraft Corporation, formed by a merger between English Electric Aviation, Vickers and the Bristol Aeroplane Company in 1960. Lord Caldecote remained as a Director of English Electric and an Executive Director of BAC in charge of the guided missiles section. He was also Deputy Managing Director of BAC. He resigned from the company after its merger with GEC.
