The manuscript letter dated 9 February 1916, written at Faraday House, Southampton Row, London WC, says, "Dear Thompson, many thanks for the invitation to come to your lecture on Friday. I shall certainly come and whether there is much or little about the Corona in it, I know from past experience that I shall thoroughly enjoy it. Yours very sincerely, Alexander Russell." The manuscript letter dated 15 March 1916, written at 1, Richmond Bridge Mansions, East Twickenham, says, "Dear Thompson, I enclose a copy of the paper you want. I thoroughly enjoyed your Royal Institution lecture - your experiments were splendid. Hoping to see you at the Institution tomorrow night. Yours very sincerely, Alexander Russell."
