- Scope and Content3 formal photographs of Caroline Haslett seated at her desk probably taken at some point between 1932 (when she became a Companion of the IEE) and 1939. The individual images are as follows; 1. Formal photograph of Caroline Haslett for EAW when she was known as Miss Caroline Haslett, CBE, Comp.IEE (annotation on reverse). Probably taken between 1932 and 1939. The photograph was taken by the company Elliott & Fry (photograph 015416B), but is also backstamped 'Electrical Association of Women, 20 Regent Street, London, SW1'. Photograph taken at same shoot as number 2 below. [Note: copyright may have originally been owned by either EAW or Elliott & Fry, but is likely to be out of copyright which would have expired 70 years after creation or 70 years after being made available to the public in the 1930s]. Digital version available. 2. Formal photograph of Caroline Haslett for EAW when she was known as Miss Caroline Haslett, CBE, Comp.IEE (annotation on reverse). Probably taken between 1932 and 1939. The photograph was taken by the company Elliott & Fry (photograph 015416C), but is also backstamped 'Electrical Association of Women, 20 Regent Street, London, SW1'. Photograph taken at same shoot as number 1 above. [Note: copyright may have originally been owned by either EAW or Elliott & Fry, but is likely to be out of copyright which would have expired 70 years after creation or 70 years after being made available to the public in the 1930s]. Digital version available 3. Formal photograph of Caroline Haslett for British Federation of Business and Professional Women taken by Publicity Arts Limited (studio job no. T/3761). Annotated on reverse 'Publicity Arts Limited: client British Federation of Business and Professional Women' [Note: Caroline was the first Chairman of the BFBPW when it was formed in 1932]. Possibly taken between 1932 and 1947 as she is younger in this image comparied with other photographs of her from 1947. However, reverse of photograph is also annotated Dame Caroline Haslett which would imply that the photograph dates from 1947 when she was made a Dame. [Note: copyright may have originally been owned by either BFBPW or Publicity Arts, or the photographer Madame Yevonde as an annotation on the reverse says 'pay separate fee to Madame Yevonde' and the photograph has the embossed word 'Yevonde'. Longest period of copyright would be if originally owned by Madame Yvonde in which case copyright would expire in 2045, 70 years after death of Madame Yevonde]. Digital version only available for archival purposes as treated as still in copyright. [Note: see reproduction tab].
