Black and white photograph and letter both originally mounted together on a board which was titled 'deputation of American engineers, June 1921'. The board has now split so that the letter and photograph are now separate. The black and white photograph of the deputation measures 7 inches x 9.5 inches with signatures of the sitters on the mount below their positions in the photograph. The letter is signed by A W Berresford, President of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) and has been sent to Dr Frank B Jewett, 21 May 1921, asking him to convey the greetings of the AIEE to the IEE on 13 June 1921 when the American engineers were to be guests of the IEE.
