- Scope and Content1-page typescript letter, from Henry Charles Gover (Secretary of the Edison and Swan United Electric Light Company) sent to Edward Gimingham. The letter refers to preparing reports for the Board and says; "Dear Mr Gimingham, The next meeting of the Board will be on Tuesday 4th October next and may probably be followed by a meeting of the Committee, although I think it very likely, as this will be the first Board after the vacation, that all matters will be dealt with fully at the Board itself so that there will be no necessity for a Committee meeting on the same day. I should be glad if you would please kindly let me have, by first post on Monday the 3rd October, any reports which you may wish to be presented to the Board. These should be as short as possible, leaving any detail to be opened out by you at the Board. I would suggest to you the following reports, and should be glad if you would keep them separate the one from the other so that I may be able to keep together the papers relating to each. a. general report on business. b. the completion, or present position, of the new electric light installation at the works. Yours very truly, H Charles Gover, Secretary."
