- Scope and Content1-page typescript letter, from Frederick Bramwell sent to Charles Gimingham. Sir Frederick Bramwell FRS served as President of the Institution of Civil Engineers between December 1884 and May 1886 and had earlier been a President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The letter is on headed paper which gives an address, 5 Great George Street Westminster [No.5 Great George Street was demolished in 1910 along with numbers 1 to 7 to form the new building for the Institution of Civil Engineers]. This letter is a response to an earlier letter sent by Gimingham on 11 August 1890 and refers to changing agreed quantities of fittings and the satisfactory progress of Gimingham's arrangements 'for the trial'.
