Scope and Content
A small collection of personal and professional correspondence. Predominantly copies of outgoing correspondence.
Includes:
Correspondence with Messrs Merz and McLellan, consulting engineers, regarding a paper by Connor’s in the Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (journal) on power station performance (1947); includes data of the boiler turbine running hours for 1938-1941 inclusive.
Resignation letter from Borough of Luton Electricity Undertaking (1948) to accept position at Eastern Electricity Board.
Correspondence with British Electrical and Allied Industries Research Association regarding effect of particle size of the fillers used in fuses (1961).
Letter to Connor from Technical Engineer at Line Equipment Limited regarding time current characteristics of tinned copper fuse wire (1962).
Arrangements for attendance at 1965 General Meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission in Tokyo, in relation to Connor's position on IEC Committee on fuses (this makes up the majority of the correspondence). See also NAEST/160/07/10.
Correspondence with friends/former colleagues regarding publication of a paper in 'Physics Education' on a network analyser made at Felixstowe College [for Girls] (1991), see also NAEST/160/14. Includes some correspondence with C T Melling.
