PowerGen plc published material. The PowerGen name was announced in October 1988, then in January 1989 the PowerGen division of the CEGB was formed. This division included approximately 50% of the CEGB's generating capacity. The division became independent and was renamed PowerGen plc on the vesting day which was 31 March 1990. Initially the company was 100% owned by the UK government before being privatised between 1991 and 1995. PowerGen was eventually taken over by E.ON, an acquisition that was completed in January 2002. This is a collection of published material relating to PowerGen given to the IET Archives over a period of time by different depositors.
