This interview with Arthur Hawkins was conducted by Maria Watkins, the wife of former Mullard Research Laboratories employee, Tom Watkins. The interview took place 10 June 1999.
Arthur Hawkins joined Mullard in November 1967 and left in November 1990. He was a Technical Manager based at Mullard, not based at Mullard Research Laboratories, and as such he acted as an interface between the Mullard Research Laboratories and customers.
In this 15 minute interview Arthur tells anecdotes on the subjects; thin flat films; semiconductors; character recognition systems; and automotive projects.
