Scope and Content
The documents in this sub-fonds cover technical material produced mainly by the East Midlands Electricity Board [EMEB] and the Central Electricity Generating Board [CEGB]. Other documents come from the Midlands Electricity Board (MEB) and the Electricity Council. This material was collected by Roy Briggs whilst working for EMEB and includes photographs taken during his career.
[Note: the University of Nottingham holds a small collection of EMEB material, however that collection does not contain any printed technical papers and comprises principally board minutes, maps, photographs and artwork; Western Power Electricity Historical Society includes EMEB, MEB CEGB material: http://wpehs.org.uk/archives].
