Scope and Content
Large black & white photograph of Allen West with an accompanying plaque. The photograph has been stuck to a cardboard mount and measures 104cm x 90cm.
A cropped version of this photograph was used in the privately published volume, 'the Allen West story', about Allen West & Co Ltd, which was published in 1960. The cropped version appears on page 24. The photograph was probably taken circa 1930's /1940's.
The photograph which used to be displayed at Allen West & Co Ltd, Brighton, was presented to Mike Wilson of Parmley Graham Ltd in December 1992 together with the accompanying plaque which says;
"Mr Allen West 1878-1957, founder of Allen West & Co Ltd Brighton, April 15th 1910. Presented to Mike Wilson, Parmley Graham Ltd, in recognition of a special and successful business relationship developed over 82 years, December 1992."
