Scope and Content
Documents relating to the nationalised entity the Eastern Electricity Board;
Two transmission drawings showing the area formerly covered by Northmet before nationalisation of Northmet under the Electricity Act 1947 (Northmet was merged with other companies to form the Eastern Electricity Board). The drawings, one covering the 'Northern area', and one covering the 'Southern area', show the 11kV distribution system and date from 23 March 1948, immediately post-nationalisation. The Southern area diagram is a revision of an earlier diagram from 4 December 1944 (Northmet era), and the Northern area diagram is a revision of an earlier diagram from 4 January 1945 (Northmet era).
