File containing seventeen items containing ‘Drawings, Specifications and Technical Articles'. Originally held in a box with red cover. On the spine is written ‘1A February 1904’. There is ‘24/1’ written on the spine in white. On the front is a label with written: ‘Drawings, Energy Meter, Magnetic Detector, O.G.M. Movt. 1457, Gold Leaf Electroscope 10/12, Diagram for Ring Ballistic Tests 13’
Item 1 – Large drawing X1378 titled ‘Assembly of Movement & Attachments’ dated 31/3/1926. The number 14 is handwritten in red at the top.
Item 2 – Reprint from ‘Journal of the I.E.E., Vol. 62, No. 330, June 1924’ titled ‘The Determination of Resonant Frequencies and Decay Factors’ by Prof. E. Mallett.
Item 3 – Single typed sheet titled ‘E & V Ltd, Note on W.G. Bird’s Proposed Frequency Meter’ dated 10th June 1932. The number 17 is handwritten in red at the top right.
Item 4– Reprint from ‘Journal of the I.E.E., Vol. 63, No. 340, April 1925’ titled ‘A New Method of High-Frequency Resistance Measurement’ by Prof. E. Mallett.
Item 5 – Three page Patent Specification 229.919 titled ‘Emprovements in and relating to the Measurement of Frequency of Electric Currents’ dated 13th June 1924 and accepted 5th March 1925.
Item 6 – Handwritten drawing on tracing paper titled ‘X.1. Type Ohmmeter’ dated 1-12-1925.
Item 7 – Two drawings on blue paper the first is titled ‘Fig. 1’ and the second ‘Fig. 2’, ‘Fig. 3’, ‘Fig. 4’.
Item 8 – Two drawings, one on tracing paper, titled ‘Meter Armature arrangement of coils’. The diagram on the tracing paper is a tracing from the other drawing which is ‘Full Size’. The coils are drawn in colour yellow/green/purple on one and yellow/green/red on the other
Item 9 – Single handwritten drawing titled ‘Diagram of Connections for taking Ring Ballistic Tests’ at the top right is written in red ‘9/21’.
Item 10 – Handwritten drawing on graph paper with ‘98’ written at top right. The drawing is coloured red/yellow/blue/brown and is untitled. Parts of the drawing are labelled. At the left is handwritten ‘Observation holes not shown’.
Item 11 – Four handwritten sheets/figures held together by split-pin titled ‘Gold-Leaf Electroscope W.R.L.55’. On the front is handwritten in red ‘10/12’.
Item 12 – Drawing 1457 titled ‘Arrangement of Megger Movement’ dated 4-6-08.
Item 13 – Five sheets held together by split-pin and consisting of a typed letter, two typed pages and two pages of figures. The letter is from ‘The National Physical Laboratory’ to E & V Ltd. Regarding the ‘publication of the results obtained with the watt hour meters’. Dated 24th Jan. 1912.
Item 14 – Single handwritten sheet of draft drawings on graph paper with ‘62’ written top-left and bottom-right. There is writing and calculations on the sheet, e.g. ‘radius 80 mils = 0.2 cm’.
Item 15 – Single handwritten draft drawing on graph paper with ‘75’ written top-right.
Item 16 – Large sheet of graph paper with plotted test results titled ‘Sample Disc Meter 3 – 100 Amps, Load Curve After Compensation’ dated 11/07.
Item 17 – Seventeen handwritten sheets held together by split-pin of drawings titled ‘Sketches of Magnetic Detector for Megger Formers’ dated 9-9-14. At the front top-right is handwritten in red ‘6/07’.
