The papers relate to Hilda Blount's involvement with and attendance at the International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists. This was an International Conference supported by a number of groups including The Society of Women Engineers (USA) and The Women's Engineering Society (England). Hilda Blount was an attendee at the first conference in New York in 1964, helped to organise the second conference in Cambridge in 1967, and gave a paper at the fourth conference in Poland in 1975. Hilda Blount was a member of the Women's Engineering Society where she was President in 1988-1989. She was an attendee at several of the International Conferences of Women Engineers and Scientists and was one of the organisers of the second conference which took place in Cambridge in 1967.
