Notebook and photographs of Southport Electricity Works in the 1910s and 1920s. The notebook contains notes made by J J Young, Chief Electrical Engineer at the Corporation of Southport Electricity Works, 1916, including descriptions of the day-to-day activities and systems of an electricity works including diagrams. The photographs depict turbo generators, alternators and switchboards. The collection also includes a photograph album containing photographs of the Ford Motor Company factory in Dagenham, Essex, in the 1950s.
