Portrait of Sebastian Ziani de Ferranti (1864-1930), President of the IEE 1910-11, by David Jagger, RP, (1891-1958). Three-quarter length, in academic robes. Signed and dated 1931, oil on canvas, 56 inches x 41 inches.
Painting commissioned by Howard Marryat, but then donated immediately to the IEE. Marryat owned the copyright, which he formally assigned to the IEE, 3 December 1931 [note: assignment contract in legal contracts series - reference Pub 13:27].
