Portrait of Michael Faraday (1791-1867) by George Harcourt RA RP (1868-1947). Three-quarter length portrait, standing by a table. Oil on canvas, 56 inches x 40 inches.
Painting commissioned by Sydney Evershed, but then donated immediately to the IEE. Evershed owned the copyright, which he formally assigned to the IEE, 30 November 1926 [note: assignment contract in legal contracts series - reference Pub 13:26].
