Portrait of Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) by Sir Walter Westley Russell, RA, RWS (1867-1949).Three-quarter length portrait, standing by a table with papers. Signed, oil on canvas, 57 inches x 41 inches.
Painting commissioned by Sir Hugo Hirst, but then donated immediately to the IEE. Hirst owned the copyright, which he formally assigned to the IEE, 3 March 1931 [note: assignment contract in legal contracts series - reference Pub 13:24].
