Scope and Content
Tea and coffee service on a salver presented to Charles P Sparks in 1890 upon his marriage, with accompanying document signed by engineers and employees of the London Electric Supply Company and of the Ferranti Company.
C P Sparks went on to become the President of the Institution of Electrical Engineers in 1915 and 1916. The service and accompanying documents were presented to the IEE in 1952 by the son of C P Sparks, Mr C H Sparks.
This is an Anglo-Indian silver plated 'Britannia' metal picnic tea and coffee service. Lozenge shape and cast Hindu deities. Made by William Hutton & Sons.
