Correspondence, articles, notes and reports referring to the history of techology in general and the IEE History of Technology Committee. Melling presided over an IEE meeting held to discuss the importance of the history of technology. An Ad Hoc Committee was formed in 1965, which later became the History of Technology Committee ( Professional Group S7). Melling was one of the first Chairmen.
