Biographical article describing Wilde's work on self-exciting electric motors, the early but unrecognised discovery of the AC synchronous generator, welding and electroplating machines and his work on terrestrial magnetism. Ms note at head of article giving date and noting that it was published in The Electrician. Ms note at foot of article 'I wrote this at the request of the Editor. Wilde wrote a furious letter on its publication to him complaining of having been libelled! Later, on learning that I furnished [ ] to the Editor, Wilde made it part of the complain[t] [ ]'
