Scope and Content
Correspondence between Thomson and members of the Blumlein family. In the beginning, Thomson planned to write a biography with Simon Blumlein, A D Blumlein's son. Their collaboration ended after disputes over when the biography would be written and the direction of Thomson's research. Simon Blumlein asked Thomson to deposit the papers they had collected in the IEE Archives, a request which Thomson refused.
