Reports and memoranda submitted to Chick by members of the Transformer Study Group, set up at a meeting on 10 January 1962 with Chick as Chairman 'to undertake a pre-feasibility study of power transformers using super-cooled conductors ... The group was to collect all existing relevant information by reviewing literature, convening inter-Section meetings when required, and by means of external contacts, in order to ascertain the extent of the research and engineering effort required.'
