Written from the Plough and Harrow Hotel. Has been involved showing the Japanese Minister of Works, Ito, and his engineer Brunton around the small arms factory and the glass factory, and going to an evening reception for the Minister. Has to go to Edinburgh on business. Delighted to hear that she is making such a large trousseau. With envelope franked Birmingham 2 November 1872
