He has been approached by Mr Bunn whom Edward had approached with a view to setting up a company. He is anxious to proceed but wants proof that Edward's system is superior to that of Cooke and Wheatstone and wishes to see the telegraph models working. Watson thinks they should try and comply with this as Cooke and Wheatstone are beginning to 'tamper' with Edward's arrangements with the Railway companies especially the Southampton Railway Company. Edward's system must be kept before the public.
