Scope and Content
Als unable to reach a settlement with his wife, so feels that he is forced to leave the country and go to Australia, particulalry as his wife has taken to causing a riot outside his door asking to see their child. Has perfected the telegraph as far as he can, and an agent could handle his interests just as well as he could if he were here. Probably will go to South Australia if he can raise sufficient money as capital to start him off. Could get free passage as a ship's surgeon on one of the Emigration Commissioners' ships. Needs to talk to his family about it.
