- Scope and ContentWritten from Kingston. Still problems with the Punta Rossa Cable. Has been laying cable between Colon, Panama and Jamaica, but lost the cable when they were bringing it up to repair a section and the wind suddenly shifted, cutting the cable. They have tried grappling it but cannot at the moment retrieve it. Would the Board like him to continue laying the other sections of cable as some time may be lost waiting for good weather to recommence the retrieval of the cable and due to illness amongst the cable hands. Steamer from Colon brought 74 messages to be sent from Kingston.
