Letter to his mother

Scope and Content
Autograph letter dated from 28 Victoria Street describing how busy he has been, and attending a 'Pilgrims' dinner for the English and American delegations to the Naval conference. He had dined with Klinzenburg who says that the talk in high circles in Berlin is that when the Kaiser is away in Italy, a Regency will be appointed. Apparently 'our' interview was nothing compared to the American interview which was largely suppressed. Everyone is interested in the new Daimler motor engine, though noone understands, and how from an engineering point of view it ought to be bad 'but it is amusing how the world talks of it'.
