Scope and Content
Autograph letter dated from 18 St Patrick's Place, Cork, saying that the wedding went off well in Edinburgh, that he met a Professor Kennedy at the dinner the evening before. He travelled to Cork by way of Greenock and Dublin, which was better than the long railway journey from Belfast. He stayed at Balclutha with the Mc Alpines who arrived at San Fransisco the morning after the earthquake on their way back from Japan and 'had an exciting time there', They also brought back £2,000 worth of Japanese art works 'some most delightful and wonderful things'.
