- Scope and ContentTS copy of letter to W H Preece from Marconi. Written from the Antrim Arms Hotel, Ballycastle, Ireland. Refers to the death of Granville, who had been working with Marconi on a permanent wireless installation connecting the lighthouse on Rathlin Island with the mainland (for Lloyds). He had been walking on the island, and slipped from a dangerous path. Marconi also describes his [Marconi's] recent experiments in signalling between Osbourne House and the Royal Yacht. He refers to wireless telegraphy as being a 'commercial utility,' as there are permanent wireless stations working in Britain and Ireland.
