- Scope and ContentTS copy of letter to W H Preece from Marconi. Written in London. Refers to Marconi's experiments at the Needles, Isle of Wight. Describes the successful exchange of signals between a 125 ft pole and the mast of a tug boat, despite fog. Marconi hopes to set up another station at Bournemouth. Referring to a report by Mr Gavey, Marconi rejects the idea that his coherers deteriorate quickly. He points to the example of a coherer given to Captain Kennedy last May, which is still working. Marconi also disagrees with some of Gavey's data. He also mentions a book by Professor Slaby, entitled 'Signalling Through Space.'
