Includes description of his proposed method of signalling without wires and information on similar experiments carried out in Italy. He hopes to be able to transmit signals over 5 miles. He also requests permission from Preece to carry out further experiments on the relation between the height of the capacities or conductors and the distance of the signal, using balloons to gain more height. Marconi will provide the balloons and hydrogen for inflation. Also refers, in a postscript, to Marconi's plan to put together a description of his studies and experiments in signalling without wires.
