Scope and Content
Letter to E Magrath addressed to him at the Athaneum concerning an article in a newspaper from Bath containing erroneous statements about Mr Farrady's [sic] important discovery and Mr Duncan's attempts to correct this, with a letter to Mr Farrady [sic] thanking him for his paper on the important demonstration of the identity of the electric and magnetic fluids, and hoping that this spark will soon grow into a flame and throw still more light on this very attractive subject. He confirms that he has taken steps to teach the Bath World that science is indebted to Faraday for this discovery not Sig. Nobili and refers Faraday to Mr Magrath for the paper containing the notice to this effect. Addressed to E Magrath Esq, Athenaum, London and franked Oxford Ap[ril] 11 1832, with note on reverse asking porter to frank all his letters to Magrath
