The Deputy Secretary is responsible to the Secretary for general management of departments of the IEE. This series includes Deputy Secretary's copies of unsigned minutes and papers of the Council and the General Purposes Committee, along with files relating to the Savoy Place building, and minutes of national and internation Engineering organisations with which the IEE was involved. Some of the files are marked "F Jervis Smith" who was a Deputy Secretary of the IEE. EUSEC records and files can be found in this series of correspondence, particularly IET/DEP/2/6, and also in the series of correspondence of the IEE's Secretary (IET/DEP/1/3) and also in IET/ACT/01. World Federation of Engineering Organisations ('WFEO') records and files can be found in the series of correspondence specifically IET/DEP/2/6/12 and IET/DEP/2/6/13 as well as in the series IET/ACT/02.
