Trade literature, press information, photographs and artwork relating to instruments manufactured by H W Sullivan Ltd. H W Sullivan was a London-based firm who specialised in the manufacture of Wheatstone and Kelvin bridges for use in laboratories, also potentiometers. It was part of the George Kent Group and was taken over by Thorn in 1971. Before this it had been taken over by Cambridge Instruments, and there is some Cambridge Instruments documentation in this series.
An article about the history of H W Sullivan Ltd, written by J Patrick Wilson, was published in the journal of the British Vintage Wireless Society (BVWS), 'the bulletin', vol.35 no.4, Winter 2010, pp.18-29. A copy of this article is held in the IET Archives reference files.
