Scope and Content
Includes a booklet containing a collection of school magazine contributions, entitled 'Sonnez', of the Institut Garnier, bound in brown paper, related to Philipp Reis, with a number of annotations and translations written in English periodically throughout the book, and a newspaper cutting pasted inside the front cover giving a brief account of Reis and his invention of the telephone, writted by F. W. Warrick; a mounted postcard featuring an illustration of the village of Friedrichsdorf, entitled 'The Birthplace of the Telephone: Friedrichsdorf (previous to 1877) near Frankfort-on-the-Main'. On the reverse of this is pasted the same newspaper cutting as is inside the front cover of the booklet. Another copy of this cutting inserted loose into the front cover of the book, has been removed and destroyed.
