Two copies of the typescript, 'history of the Electrical Power Storage Company (EPS Co.)' written by J W Beck in July 1938 [the individual copies donated to the IET via different routes]. Through a series of mergers EPS Co had by 1921 become Prichett & Gold and EPS Co Ltd. The Chloride Electrical Storage Company acquired a controlling interest in Pritchetts and Gold in 1922.

The first copy of the history is contained in a file that was originally 'rediscovered' by the Works Manager of the Chloride Automotive Batteries Ltd factory in the 1980s. Accompanying the typescript history are original and copy photographs, diagrams, press cuttings and letterheads. Includes information on electric cars and electric boats.
