Cecil H Finnis's (1885-1951) diary of cable repairing expedition undertaken by CSS Faraday in 1903, related photographs from the expedition, and note dropped overboard in a bottle and accompanying finders' letter. Also Finnis's notebook of extracts from technical authors and a letter from City & Guilds (Engineering) College certifying Cecil H Finnis's attendance and qualifications gained whilst at the college.
