Bound volume of 15 black and white photographs showing the laying of the telegraph cable across Lake Constance, entitled 'Herstellung and Verlegung des ersten Fernsprech-Seekabels nach dem Pupin-System zwischen Freidrichshafen und Romanshorn durch den Bodensee'. [Manufacture and Laying of the Telephone Submarine cable using the Pupin System between Friedrichsdhafen and Romanshorn under Lake Constance]. Captions under photographs are printed in German, with an English translation written in manuscript underneath. There is an inscription inside the front cover which reads, 'J W Woods, 11 July 07'.
