Scope and Content
The collection consists of pamphlets on the introduction of the telephone to Scotland 1884-1886, telephone in Belgium, the military use of telegraphy in Sweden and Spain, printing telegraphs and the administration of telegraphs in Italy. There is also a catalogue of electrical plant and machinery from the Colonial and Indian Exhibition 1887 and a conversion chart for Imperial and Metric Units issued by the Board of Trade in 1878. Some of the pamphlets are in German, French and Italian.
